How do I set up a Remote Desktop Connection for FreightWare Online?

Windows

  1. Click your Windows Start button, type mstsc and then hit your enter key
    - OR -
    Click your Windows Start button and select All Programs -> Accessories -> Remote Desktop Connection.
    - OR -
    Right Click your FreightWare Icon and select Edit. 
  2. Click the downward-pointing arrow next to Options to show the tabs.
  3. On the General tab, make the following entries:
  4. Computer - Enter the server name provided to you by Artronix Technical Support (terminal3.freightware.net:12308 for example).
  5. User name - Enter the user name provided to you by Artronix Computer Support in the format firstname.lastname@freightware.net (john.doe@freightware.net for example).
  6.  Switch to the Display tab.
    1. In the Display configuration section drag the slider all the way to the right for full screen mode.
  7. Switch to the Local Resources tab.
    1. In the Local devices and resources section, select the check box for Clipboard.
    2. In the Local devices and resources section, remove the check for Printers.
    3. In the Local devices and resources section, click the More button.
    4. Expand Drives by clicking the plus sign to the left of Drives.
    5. Select your local C: drive.
    6. Click the OK button.
      Note:  The following directory must exist in order to Export reports to Excel. C:Program FilesArtronixDownloads
  8. Switch back to the General tab.
    1. Click the Save As button.
    2. Enter a file name and select a file location such as your Windows Desktop.
  9. Click the Connect button to connect to FreightWare Online.

 Mac

  1.  Download and istall the Microsoft RDP Client for MAC from the Apple Store.
  2. Click Preferences from the Upper Menu
  3. Select Login and Enter the following:
    • Computer - Enter the server name provided to you by Artronix Technical Support (terminal2.freightware.net:12308 for example).
    • User name - Enter the user name provided to you by Artronix Computer Support in the format FREIGHTWAREfirstname.lastname (FREIGHTWAREjohn.doe for example).
  4. Switch to Display.
    • In the Display configuration section drag the slider all the way to the right for full screen mode.
  5. Switch to Drives:
    • Select All Disk Drives
  6. Switch to Printers:
    • Make sure the Use a Printer that is connected to the Mac is NOT checked.
  7. Select File -> Save from the upper menu to save the settings.
  8. Click the Connect button to connect to FreightWare Online.
