This guide will assume you have already been assigned a server, user name, and password to access FreightWare
If you do not remember your server name and/or user name right-click on your Windows Desktop FreightWare icon and hit "Edit", be sure to enter your server name and user name exactly the same as you see there
Mac
- Go to the Apple App Store and search for "Remote Desktop"
- Download "Microsoft Remote Desktop 10" (There are many other apps that can also access FreightWare, but we cannot guarantee their success. The rest of this guide will assume you are using Microsoft Remote Desktop 10. Use other apps at your own digression)
- After downloading the app, launch the app
- Hit the "+" button and select "Desktop" to add your new connection
- "PC name" is where you enter your FreightWare server name
- "User Account" is where you will decide whether or not you want to enter your credentials every log in attempt, or enter them now and save them for future log in attempts. If you want to be prompted for your credentials every time, skip to the step 11.
- Use the "User Account" drop down and select "Add User Account..."
- On the "Add User Account" screen, under "User Name" enter your user name.
- Under "Password" enter your password.
- (optional) Under "Friendly Name" give your connection account a easy to read name. Ex: "Hunter's FreightWare Login"
- Once finished entering your credentials, hit "Save"
- Hit the "Show More" button to display the next set of options we are going to configure.
- (optional) Under the "General" tab, you can enter a Friendly Name for the connection. Ex: "FreightWare Online"
- Select the "Local Resources" tab
- Make sure the "Folders" checkbox is checked and hit the "+" button in the table underneath
- Select a folder on your Mac where you would like Downloaded Files from FreightWare to be placed (This also works with iCloud)
- Take note of the Name of the folder path you just created, this will be important later.
- Once finished hit "Save" at the bottom of the screen
- Log In to FreightWare using the connection we have made by double clicking or right-click > "Connect"
- Navigate to Setup > Security Profiles
- Find your profile using the arrow buttons at the bottom of this window
- Go to the "Custom Fields" tab
- On a new empty line in the table below, use the drop down under "Field" to select the option "TSClientDownloadPath"
- In the "Field Value" cell type the following... \\tsclient\ <- Type in the name of the redirection folder you set up earlier Ex: \\tsclient\Downloads
- In the 'Client Name' cell you will need to enter the name of your Mac. Your Mac's name can be found on your Mac by clicking the Apple logo > System Preferences > Sharing. Here you will find "Computer Name", use this.
- Log Out of FreightWare entirely
Now, your connection is set up! Double click or right-click > "Connect" to get connected!

Android(Phone/Tablet) and iOS(iPhone/iPad)
- Go to your app store (Android: Google Play Store, iPhone: Apple App Store) and search for "Remote Desktop"
- Download "Microsoft Remote Desktop" (There are many other apps that can also access FreightWare, but we cannot guarantee their success. The rest of this guide will assume you are using Microsoft Remote Desktop. Use other apps at your own digression)
- After downloading the app, launch the app
- Hit the "+" button in the upper right hand corner and select "Desktop"
- "PC name" this is where you enter your FreightWare server name
- Under "User Account" or "User name", you can choose to enter your credentials every time (set by default) or you can save your credentials so you don't have to type in username and password every time (If you want to be asked for user name and password every time skip the next two steps)
- "Add User Account" > "User Name" enter your user name
- "Add User Account" > "Password" enter your password
- (optional) if you want to name this connection something more friendly (for example: "FreightWare Login") hit "Additional Options" and under "Friendly Name" name this connection whatever you would like
- Go back to the first page (where you are asked for PC Name) and hit "Save" in the upper right hand corner
Now, your connection is set up! On the app launch page you should see your connection you just created, simply tap the connection and you are now connected to FreightWare!
